Ombre Hair or Two Tone Hair Trend

Peruvian Natural Straight 16inch Two Tone

Lightening the very ends of your hair will offer a soft, sun-bleached look that’s easy to create and care for. Home-lightening kits are available from almost all major pharmacists, and will usually come with protective gloves and an application brush. If these items are not included, it’s important that you protect your skin, clothes and surroundings from the lightening mixture – wrap an old towel around your shoulders and apply in an area without carpet or soft furnishings.

Brush your hair thoroughly before applying the mix, and consider how far up the lengths of your hair you wish to lighten. If your hair is particularly thick, you may wish to let down sections in layers to ensure even coverage. This technique works best on naturally wavy, curly and softer styles – if you have a sharp cut, enlist the help of a friend to level out the back section.

Follow the mixing instructions on the lightening kit, and protect your hands with the gloves provided. Dab the mixture onto the ends of your hair with firm brush-stokes, making sure that both sides of the hair are covered. The beauty of this technique is that it won’t matter if your tips are uneven – it will simply add to the laid back and bohemian feel of the finished look.

Carefully read the timing guidelines on the lightening kit to achieve to shade desired. As red hair pigments as the most resilient to bleach and dye, darker hair may achieve copper blonde and auburn tones after the first application. Mid blonde hair will become much fairer in a shorter amount of time, so it’s important not to leave the mixture on for too long to avoid damage to the tips. Once rinsed, apply an intensive conditioner to the tips to help prevent brittleness or breakage.

Now that your tips have been lightened, you can experiment further with colour-pop and pastel shades for a fun and current look. Pale pinks and purples work especially well on light blondes, giving a pretty and ethereal look.

As your hair grows, have regular trims to maintain a healthy head of hair and repeat the process when necessary. This simple two-tone style will give the effect of soft summer hair that has been bleached by the sun. To enhance this beachy look, scrunch-dry hair after showering or spritz a little salt water spray on the lengths to encourage natural waves. Best of all – there’s no pressure to re-colour your roots!

Maintaning Wavy Human Hair

Wavy hair is more delicate than straight hair and more easily damaged– curly hair is even more delicate still.

Most shampoos are too harsh for wavy hair, and will dry it out, give it split ends and leave it crackly and damaged.

Styling tools will fry wavy hair faster than straight hair, because it’s already more easily damaged.

The most important thing in taking care of wavy hair is to keep it moisturized, and to avoid aggravating its built-in flaws.

How to care for wavy hair

When you wash it, do it this way: Wet the hair completely, then put a layer of moisturizer from the tips to about half way to the scalp. Use a gentle daily moisturizer, not a heavy deep-tratment one, and use it more often. Wash just the roots with a very small amount of shampoo, about half of what you’ve previously been using. Massage it right into the scalp, and rinse it out after only a few minutes; longer will let your hair dry out. Use a gentle daily shampoo appropriate to your hair-type; one without sodium lauel sulphate, which dries hair out and has been linked to other health problems, is best, but they’re frequently expensive. If your hair isn’t too greasy or oily, you can try making your own home-made shampoo (recipes can be found easily with Google), or you can try washing with only conditioner and no shampoo at all.

Once it’s rinsed, add another layer of conditioner, from the roots to the tips, and leave it in for a few minutes while you finish your shower. Rinsing with cooler water will close the cuticle and help keep your hair smooth.

Once out of the shower, wrap your hair up in a towel, but don’t rub at it– leave it in the towel for a while, or scrunch it until it stops dripping. Smooth some leave-in conditioner through the whole of the hair, and spray it with a curl enhanser. If you need anti-frizz treatments, choose one that’s light-weight and oil-free, and smooth it onto wet hair so it doesn’t weigh the curls down and make them slimy.

Scrunch it while it dries, and if you use a hairdryer, use a diffuser head and a cool heat setting. Don’t mess with it too much while it dries, and if you’re drip-drying, try to stay inside until it’s done; going outside with wet hair will let the humidity at it, and it’ll frizz out.

Use gentle barrettes and no-pull rubberbands, but pins and hair sticks are gentler on the hair. If your hair is very wavy, wearing it longer might help keep it from going crazy, as the extra weight will stretch out the waves some. Longer hair also gives you more styling options.

How to Prevent Human Hair Lace Wigs from Tangling

So you bought an expensive human hair lace wig and you are very excited about wearing it. But after just two weeks of wearing your beautiful lace wig, it begins to tangle, which alarms you & crushes your confidence. After all, it’s not like you went out and bought a

Guidelines to detangle or prevent your lace wig from tangling

Do not wash your lace wig with shampoos that contain harsh chemicals or a high ph-balance.

Use salon brand moisturizing shampoos that are infused with vitamins & herbs and that have a low-ph balance. Normal healthy hair has a ph-balance of 4.5 – 5.5, so buy a shampoo that’s within that range or a little below it. Some shampoos have a very high ph-balance, which will damage the hair and leave it dry & dull looking.

Do not wash your wig while it’s on your head.

Take the wig off your head, add a little shampoo to a sink of luke-warm water. While holding the top of the cap with one hand, emerse the wig in the water, and gently glide your fingers through the hair, from root to tip to cleanse it. Next, add conditioner to the hair and rinse under a faucet of cool running water. Allow most the water to run off the hair into the sink, and then lightly wrap your lace wig with a thick towel to drain off excess water.

Do not lay your wet wig on a flat surface to dry.

After washing, place the wig on a wig stand or styrofoam head, and add a light hair moisturizer or leave-in conditioner and finger comb the product throughout the hair. Allow the hair to dry before styling & attaching to your head.

Do not wash your wig too often.

You should wash your lace wig no more than 2 times a week to preserve the strength & health of the hair. Washing too frequently will sap all the life and nutrients out the hair, leaving it dull, brittle, and dry.

Do not use a regular comb or brush to style or detangle your lace wig.

Use a wide-toothed comb, or a shower comb, or a vent brush to style your lace wig. Do not pull or tug on the hair.

Do not brush the lace wig while it’s wet.

Avoid brushing wet hair because the strands will break-off from the base of the cap and leave bald spots on your lace unit. Hair is in its weakest state when wet.

Do not use shampoos & hair conditioners in full strength to avoid heavy build-ups.

Use an empty container that has a spray pump to make your own diluted shampoo or conditioner, and then apply to hair.

Do not use products that contain alcohol.

Alcohol will dry hair out and damage the delicate structure of the cuticles.

Do not use overuse hair products.

Adding too much hair products to your lace wig will lead to a messy, clunky build-up. Excessive use of oils, mousse, gels, and other hair products will cause the hair to tangle, matte, and make the hair look unclean, limp & dull.

Do not hold on to dry brittle ends.

Pay special attention that you add a little extra leave-in conditioner to the ends of the hair. Sometimes you cannot save the ends, and it’s best to clip or trim the ends off. Cut off the dry, split ends before they split all the way up and cause horrific tangles.

Do not blow-dry your hair.

After washing your hair, allow it to air-dry so the hair will stay smooth & manageable. Blow drying the hair will make it frizz and feel hard & stiff.

Do not wear hair down in hot humid weather or very cold temperatures.

Spritz on some extra leave-in conditioner and wear protective styles by putting your hair in a bun or ponytail.

Do not go swimming without protecting your hair.

To prevent tangles, it’s best to wear a swimming cap so your lace wig will not get too much chlorine from a swimming pool or salt water from the beach. Before getting into the water, add a leave-in conditioner and leave hair down. Do not braid hair or wear a ponytail because those styles tend to trap excess chlorine & salt water.

Do not go to bed with wet hair.

To prevent your lace wig from tangling or matting while you’re sleeping, add a leave-in conditioner, and then finger comb or use a wide-toothed comb to work out any tangles. Also, wrap your lace wig with a silk or satin scarf. Or, sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase so your hair will rub against something smooth and not against rough cotton linen, which can cause tangles to form overnight.

How to Install a Lace Closure

The first step when you are looking to install a  lace closure is to match it with the weave or hair extensions or your natural hair. Since closures are purchased separately, it is up to you make sure that you buy the best match. This includes matching the color and texture of the closure with the hair extensions you are using or your natural hair. Hold the closure close to the weave or hair extension and see if there is any difference in color. Feel it to determine that both have a similar texture.

Lace Closure Application Guide

–       Regardless of whether you want to install a Swiss lace closure hair on sew-in or glue-in weaves, tracks will be needed for the weft of the closure.

–       Complete the process of sewing in or gluing in hair extensions to tracks or cornrow braids of natural hair.

–       Clean the skin around the outer edge of the hairline with rubbing alcohol.

–       Make sure that you leave a U-shaped portion of cornrow braids on the crown of your head. This is where you have to install the lace closure.

–       Apply a thin line of adhesive. Remember that a little bit of adhesive is enough. Gently press it down until it is secured. Alternatively, you can use a dark colored sewing thread and C-shaped needle to attach the lace closure to the U-shaped section of tracks.

Difference between peruvian hair and brazilian hair

Peruvian hair is sourced from  Peru  while Brazilian hair is mostly sourced from brazil. They are both very good quality and very similar, the only difference is that peruvian hair teh strands are thicker than brazilian hair.  They both come naturally in different texture for example straight, wavy and curly.

Peruvian hair comes abit lighter than brazilian hair especially at the hair tips.

How to Maintain a Hair Weave

Have you ever had a hair weave only to discover that it looks a hot mess after some time? if so, then fortunately there is something you can do about it. All it takes is a little patience and daily ritual. Your weaves will then begin to last longer than ever and every time you can look like you just stepped out of the salon. Here are a few simple steps to maintaining your hair weave:

1. Wrap the hair up at night. It is recommended to use a satin scarf to wrap the hair up before you go to bed. Not wrapping the hair up at night may cause it to frizz and look unpleasant the next morning or as time goes by.

2. Do not use too many products. Weaves are known to become weighed down rather quickly when you add too many products on a hair weave. Some products may even cause the weave to shed. use products that are usually water-based instead of oily and silicone-based products.

3. Avoid heat appliances. Heat appliances can cause damage to your hair weave overtime. Once the damage is done, it cannot be redone. It’s okay to use heat sometimes, but everyday is not recommended.

4. Do a rollerset. If your hair weave is curly, and it is losing its bounce and curls, then it is recommended to do a rollerset. The rollersets will bring the hair back to life. Also, if your hair weave is straight and you are getting bored with your old style, you can use rollersets to create a curly style instead. It is best to rollerset hair weaves when they are damp for better results.

5. Try to avoid additional friction. Most friction applied to hair weaves are from combing and brushing with a bristle brush. Instead of using a bristle brush, use a paddle brush and avoid combing as much as possible, especially with small-tooth combs. The small tooth combs can cause shedding and thinning of your hair weave.
